Supervision

Carmen Scroggin is licensed by the Texas State Board of Professional Counselors to provide supervision for counseling interns.  Supervision is provided in an individual or small group setting and is supportive and educational.

If you are currently an LPC-I seeking supervision, you should be congratulated.  You have gone through a difficult, time consuming, and exciting process.  Now is the time for you to grow even further as a counselor and continue to develop skills that will last the lifetime of your career.  Carmen believes that supervision is a integral part of the development of the counselor and enjoys helping interns in this exciting time in their careers.  Supervision sessions are confidential, warm, and non-judgmental.

Potential Interns should be able to show proof of malpractice insurance, NCE and Texas Jurisprudence Exam results, and a copy of the LPC-I license.   In compliance with Texas State Law, Interns will be required to complete 3000 clock hours with at least 1500 being direct client contact hours.  Interns will be expected to keep a record of each client contact.  Supervision will take a minimum of 18 months and supervisees will meet with the supervisor approximately once per week.  Fees for supervision are $85.00 per hour.
